Xbox 360′s New Dashboard (December Update) Review
by TheSa|nt on Nov.26, 2011, under Games
Like the McDonalds commercials best say…”I’m lovin it”. The new features are great, the Kinect integration feels good, and the voice command options are solid. I am looking forward to what Microsoft comes up with next.
I’m thinking the system still needs a quicker way of reaching a list of online friends as well as a menu system that isn’t so lagged. It can be agrivating at times waiting for the main “x” (button) menu to popup or navigate. The dashboard is amazingly fast and accurate….its just the popup menu seems to never get any attention (outside of a few new options or icons).
I think the new UFC options will be a hit for a lot of MMA fans out there, bringing lots of behind the scene footage and interviews, as well as PPV featuress for live fights.
They have added additional support for the Xbox Companion Devices (i.e., Windows Phone 7 devices) that can interact with the system for reasons such as controlling DVDs or accessing additional information about what you have on the screen.
New LV Mobsquad Video!: LV Mobsquad – All The Other Kids (Parody)(Censored)
by TheSa|nt on Nov.14, 2011, under Youtube Videos
The Las Vegas Mobsquad has finally released their latest official video. It’s a music video this time! Joy!!
This is a parody music video based on the song Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People ( from this cd: http://amzn.to/upVbnG ). This parody is written, recorded, produced, directed, acted (etc) by the LV Mobsquad. It is directed towards “those punk kids” (basically it addresses the bully issue plaguing schools these days).
What’s cool is that parts of this music video were shot using a Windows Phone 7 (Mango) device. The rest with a Professional HD 1080P AVCHD Camera with professional lens, mics and accessories. They are asking if viewers can guess which scenes where shot with the WP7 phone/device? (comment on the youtube page, here, wherever).
LV Mobsquad is mainly focused on bringing the viewers comedy in their productions. This is why some shots are tongue and cheek goofy or odd. Beyond that it got a little serious, so this will be their first semi-serious production……while still keeping the “strange”.
Comments? Suggestions? Mind Blowing Hateful Complaints? Feel free to share. We love to read them and respond where needed.
If you can, try to share it with your friends. They are looking to spread their name around a little more to help justify some really big upcoming productions

TweetCanadian Cable Providers Charging by the Channel?
by TheSa|nt on Nov.08, 2011, under General
So apparently cable TV providers in Canada are offering packages where you can pay for only the channels you want to watch. Something that was required by Canada’s government.
This is something I have been asking about for years, wondering why we couldn’t pick our own channels. Why do we have to pay for a bunch of channels we are never going to watch. For example, why the heck am I paying for the Lifetime channel to be included in my lineup?
Now why can’t the providers in the US do that? I pay an arm and about 3 legs worth for basic extended cable. No digital packages, no DVR, no movie channels, no on-demand, no cable boxes…..just 70 something channels (or whatever) sent directly to my TVs. I watch about 12-14 of those channels at most, and I pay $57.99 (plus taxes) for this mediocre luxury?
I motion that we all get together and write, email or call (or all of the above) our service providers in the US to push them to offer these services here. Threaten to unsubscribe from services (especially if you’re not using them). Heck, write to your local government heads and share the information with them to see if you can get them on board. These companies have way too much power in forcing us to pay for things we are barely touching.
The more we bug them…the more commotion we can create, the greater pressure we can apply to them to offer the same. Right now, the few of us that call and ask…they claim it’s impossible.
THANK YOU Canada for proving that it is *not* impossible. If my provider can control whether or not I get Stars, HBO and all of those other upper channels….they can control whether or not I get the lower ones just the same.
Remember, nothing will ever be done unless we work together!
