I’m a Cow Song breaks 500,000 views

The “I’m a Cow Song” passed the 500,000 view mark which makes it the most popular video the Las Vegas Mobsquad has ever produced both directly or jointly on YouTube. With 50% of ad proceeds going to one of the member’s younger siblings college fund, she is going to have a chance at actually going somewhere as I’m sure the video will probably start heading to a million and blow up from there.

Make sure to keep passing it around wherever possible. Tweet it, FB it, share the link here on YT…Plurk it, Myspace it (do people still use that?), blog it, email it, or tattoo the url to your arm! Let’s send Alexis to Harvard!

Success? I think so.

This may have been a year of good luck blessings turned to faceplants, but next year looks like it should be best if all ducks are lined up properly….(and then kicked over for pure entertainment…just for an added bonus of stress relief).

I mixed FOH (front of house) the other day for the most amazing acoustic performance I have ever experienced live in person. I spent most of the time sitting there with my eyes closed, just letting it all absorb. Happiness can be found in many things in life…that, being of one them.

I have been accepted by a few touring companies for freelance which that, including everything else lined up for next year…should be bring me into the six digit range. The union is also pressuring even harder now for me to join, giving me more ammunition soon to push back in exchange for higher rates. Will see how that works out.

I have also finally “officially” (state/city/county paperwork-wise) rolled my subsidiary brand into it’s own DBA under my company. This will allow the ability to better partner with audio supply manufactures for certain patented ideas.

This year, I almost had a foreseeable reason to slow down a little in my work life and focus on other great things, but that led to me realizing those things may not truly exist in the world. Not now at least. So back to focusing on success, friends and family. I now realize that one day I will be moving away from this hell hole of a city. When that day comes, then I can re-visit focusing on the other things in life.

In the meantime, I have 50lbs of multiple flavored Tootsie Rolls that I acquired from a recent event I worked. I am going to own this Halloween!

Until tomorrow, buy my ebook! This way you can take the first easy steps at conquering your own success!  Or don’t….you may prefer sitting on a sofa all day doing nothing, or playing with social networks all day…or pinning pictures of what you had for breakfast….or talking to yourself while staring into the corner of the room…or playing Xbox with the family dog…or tossing your cat out of a window (because we all know cats suck)…or toilet papering the neighbors car….or toilet papering the neighbors cat……all is well…but I advise giving the ebook a try first at least. You can’t lose 😉

Video: Can We Auto-Correct Humanity?

As quoted from the video’s description:
“You need not delete your social networks or destroy your cell phones, the message is simple, be balanced, be mindful, be present, be here.”

Makes a good point. I have lost a lot of friends I used to hang out with to the world of the internet. People I used to hang out with weekly, reduced to being lucky to see them within a few months+. Been on dates where the girl was more interested in her cell phone screen than the conversation.

This is why I hike, this is why I travel, this is why I try to drag my friends out and spend so much time with family, this is why I dream, this is why I try to chase those dreams and take a break from the digital world when possible. I enjoy the digital world, and agree that it will help us evolve technology-wise; but we can’t let go of what makes life most livable….the act of being able to share it with someone….in person.

Dear Journal…or captain’s log: The summer keeps throwing its punches

This-Summer-Sucks

Been (semi) patiently waiting for an opportunity to sneak back out of Vegas and clear my mind of all the mud this summer has kicked up at me. It has just been one saddening, maddening and unfortunate blow after another.

I’ve tried setting up hikes and people would bail out at the last moment. Then I set up a massive vacation to California including Six Flags, Ocean Beach and possibly Big Bear. Six people total were committed to going….until about 2 weeks in and everyone started dropping like flies until it was just me that was left. Then I postponed it a few weeks and snuck out to do a solo trip to just Six Flags starting today. Booked the room the other day and this morning I flew away like the ground was falling from behind me.

Well…..I made it half way to Valencia just to find out that Six Flags modified their schedule for October and are now closed Mon-Thurs. Temperature is in the 90’s still at the moment there….and they………….closed for my vacation. So much for taking advantage of the season pass and a not so expensive trip. So much for an escape from the downers. Now I am sitting in my hotel room wondering “what am I doing here in California with nothing to do?….I could have gone anywhere to do that”.

I think this summer really has it out for me and has no plans of holding back the punches ….

unamusedI am thoroughly unamused by this.

Like this is going to stop me from making something out of it. Things just got more expensive, that’s all. Less of a positive investment financially but still a mentally positive one. Universal, here I come. Hollywood, here I come. Visit the store they used as the “Buy More” in the series Chuck (where they filmed it)….here I come, Newport, LA, whatever…..here I come. *poof*

Japanese Kit Kats (and bakeable too)

WP_20141001_002

Yum! So I ran into this small shop in town called “Japan Creek Market” down the street from the gym and decided to go in. Glad I did as they have a ton of sugary goods from Japan all over the shelves. From drinks, snacks, sweets, cookables and Saki…they have quite the selection, including these. A friend of mine recently traveled to Japan and took pictures of all sorts of odd Kit Kat flavors, immediately drawing my attention. I figured I would have to wait till I can travel to Japan before witnessing some of them myself, but I guess I was wrong. They are a bit expensive at $7 a bag, but tons less than having to fly over the Pacific Ocean to get to them.

Now I just have to translate the back of the bakeable one (left) so that I can figure out how long they need to be baked at what temperature.
