Science: Massive 2D Rubens Tube Of Over 2500 Holes Driven By Sound and Music

From the site:

Rubens’ Tube is an awesome demo and here we take it to the next level with a two-dimensional ‘Pyro Board’. This shows unique standing wave patters of sound in the box.

The pressure variations due to the sound waves affect the flow rate of flammable gas from the holes in the Pyro Board and therefore affect the height and colour of flames. This is interesting for visualizing standing wave patterns and simply awesome to watch when put to music. Thank you to Sune Nielsen and everyone at Aarhus for sharing this demonstration with me! And thanks for having me at your conference.

Ohio State University Marching Band Performs and Marches to Video Game Themes

This is actually pretty impressive. The entire marching band for Ohio State University performs a number of classic and current video game themes while marching out various designs and keeping excellent control of their synchronization.

Las Vegas Mobsquad Launched a New Track – Boyfriend (Justin Bieber Parody)

The Las Vegas Mobsquad have launched their latest track. Another parody track, this time parodying Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” song. They went a little bit further in their effort in the creation of this one. Their YouTube account and the track description both describe well how they put the music together which is nice to see. Most artists keep that to themselves until they have a documentary or interview to profit from. The vocal effects as well have been taken to the next level (in comparison to their other tracks). All together it’s a fun listen and and I myself have it sitting in my player.

Available now on iTunes and everywhere else (if not now, then I’m sure the next few days at Amazon, Zune and the sort). Pretty cool! Check them out!
